Hand-engraving is a dying art. Every stroke of the graver is a decision made once, in real time, in gold or platinum. There is no undo.
Alex is one of a small number of working goldsmiths in Canada who designs and hand-engraves on the same piece, from start to finish. The pattern cut into your ring exists nowhere else in the world.

Alex works with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as coloured gemstones — sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and more. Every stone is selected with the specific design and setting in mind.
If you already have a stone — an heirloom diamond, a family piece — we can build your ring around it. Bringing something forward from the past into the future is one of the most meaningful things we do.

This is not a complicated process. It is an intimate one.
Your consultation is a conversation, not a sales pitch. Alex will ask you about each other — how you met, what you love, what matters to you both. In person in Toronto, or virtually anywhere. Complimentary, always.
Sketches, 3D renders, and a proposed engraving concept tailored to your story. You'll review everything together. Nothing is finalised until you say so.
Alex makes your ring himself. He sets the stone. He cuts the engraving. He finishes the piece. No outsourcing. No production team. One person's complete attention, for you.
Delivery is typically 4–6 weeks from design approval. We'll keep you informed at every stage, and the handoff will feel as significant as what's inside the box.
